The professional staff of our Child Study Team includes Psychologists, Learning Disabilities Specialists, Social Workers, and Speech Therapists which are available to all staff, students, and parents whenever the need arises. The Fairview Public Schools is also part of the Region VI Special Education Consortium which provides greater flexibility in placing classified students in appropriate out-of-district classes when necessary. The district's policy toward placement of special education is to place the child in the least restrictive environment within the district whenever possible. The district has a wide ranging special education program including self-contained classes for some learning disabled students as well as Resource Center programs for educationally handicapped students.
